Our Mission
The mission of The Dog Rehoming Project is to support scientific research and bridge the gap between science and the individuals and organizations seeking to effectively shelter, provide sufficient welfare for, and rehome dogs.
Our Three Primary Aims
1.
To fundraise for and provide funding worldwide to support research pertaining to shelter dogs (Canis lupus familiaris), dog rehoming, and related topics
2.
To serve as a central portal to match human, dog, and organization participants with relevant active research studies, including both those that have and have not received funding from The Project
3.
To disseminate the findings of research studies, both those that have and have not received funding from The Project, pertaining to shelter dogs or dog rehoming or related topics to target populations, which include, but are not limited to, dog shelters and dog rehoming organizations, in a comprehensible and accessible manner
